Summary (cr: goodreads)

A breathtaking journey toward self-discovery and true love, from the author of If I Stay

When sheltered American good girl Allyson "LuLu" Healey first meets laid-back Dutch actor Willem De Ruiter at an underground performance of Twelfth Night in England, there’s an undeniable spark. After just one day together, that spark bursts into a flame, or so it seems to Allyson, until the following morning, when she wakes up after a whirlwind day in Paris to discover that Willem has left. Over the next year, Allyson embarks on a journey to come to terms with the narrow confines of her life, and through Shakespeare, travel, and a quest for her almost-true-love, to break free of those confines.

 My Review: (also in goodreads)

I would've finished this sooner but I was reading this in between everything. Anyway...

After enjoying Gayle Forman's duet books: If I Stay and Where She Went, she released another set of duet books which brought me to a whole new level. Even thinking of being adventurous and spontaneous for one day gives you this thrill. And in Paris no less! Allyson and Wilhem has this amazing chemistry. I did felt bad for them when they were apart for a year due to misunderstandings. This was self discovery on Allyson's part; her path to become brave and independent enough to spread her wings, confront the past and move on. The ending is such a cliffhanger that I want to start on Wilhem's side of the story on 'Just One Year'.

Till the next read...
